Welcome to the Message in the Mess! I am Emily, and I am thrilled you are here!

I am a Birkenstock and ponytail wear-er. I love the Waltons and Little House on the Prairie, and the Sound of Music. I am the oldest of nine ridiculous children and want to be a Mom when I grow up. I sing in the shower and eat chocolate like it's going out of style. I am in love with my high school sweetheart, and if summer lasted forever we could be found at the beach. I am a Roman Catholic, who is constantly in awe of the beauty of our God. I love daisies and puppies...and babies. And, I love to write.

I began this blog because I am a confused 21 year old, trying to navigate this path of life, and discern where God is calling me to be. I hope to share the messiness of my life with you, and maybe, just maybe, there will be message in this.
